1. Tell us about the last 3 purchases you made at locally owned, independent businesses.

From coffee to clothes, I always purchase from locally owned independent business because I have owned and operated local business in Portland and I know and understand what it takes to own independently business in Portland.

2. What do you think are the most important resources or programs available to independent businesses in Portland?

I believe as business prospective our local business owners to work with our neighborhood associations and to market their product and services in Portland. Also I would like to see our products and services around the state and all over the world. Because as a coffee owner shop owner or small tech company we can connect to local coffee farm produces in Africa o Latin America or countries that need tech services like UAE. I do have the ability to connect our local independent business to rest of the world.

3. Are there any policies or initiatives you think the city should adopt to better support local businesses?

Yes, I city government we make purchase every day and I would like to see that business activities we do to go to our local independent business. I would like to see our independent business owners to have voice in our city government. I believe that we can make a difference if we come together and help our local innovators. Business permit and how our city government deal with our local business must be change and we have to be more friendly our local business.

4. Do you think the city should move its bank accounts out of large national banks and into locally owned financial institutions?

Yes, it is my dream. If we did not support our local owned financial institutions as an individual and as a city government who else we think should support them? I will support to move to our bank accounts to locally owned financial institutions.
