The Board of Directors of Portland Buy Local voted unanimously to support the bond issue for modernizing the Cumberland County Civic Center, which will appear on November’s ballot. The board concluded that this project retains and upgrades an important community asset, benefiting local businesses and the region’s economy. A number of other organizations, including Portland’s Downtown District and the Portland Arts & Cultural Alliance, have likewise endorsed the bond issue. More details on the plan in the flyer below.
