Portland has a vibrant history of shipbuilding and shipping, rum, wars and fire. This walking tour covers both Portland’s history and its everyday life. We will pass the Custom House, City Hall, Longfellow’s Home, and the Waterfront while discussing this history and the effects it has on Portland today.
This tour starts at Lobsterman’s Park at the corners of Temple Street and Middle Street and leaves at 10 am, 1:00 pm and 4 pm. Each tour takes about two and a half hours.
Along with the historical walking tour of Portland, Beaten Path Tours offers scavenger hunts as an activity for companies, schools, camps and family events. What better way to bring people together than to team them up and have them compete against other teams to solve clues, complete activities, and have some fun.
Scavenger Hunts can be customized for any location or amount of people. Call Beaten Path Tours to discuss your Scavenger Hunt Event .
