Join us Sunday May 19 from 5:00-6:30 for this special event with guest musician Sam Kyzivat to replenish your mind, body and soul in a Restorative Sequence with the use of bolsters, blankets and blocks. Sam will play the electric violin, piano and kalimba and fill the studio with beautiful ambient music as you let go of tension in these supported postures. There will also be periodic Thai massage to help you drop into a deeper sense of relaxation and ease.
Ease your way into Restorative poses that allow for deep healing to reduce the effects of chronic stress and muscle tension. Your body will appreciate this gentle all levels practice to experience relaxation and rejuvenation. Please dress comfortably in layers.
Sam is a Portland based musician, accomplished composer and arranger who received his BA in Music from Bowdoin College and has spent time working for several Maine based nonprofits over the years including REVERB, an environmental organization working to make bands’ tours more environmentally friendly, as well as the Maine Youth Rock Orchestra, a unique nonprofit that gives young orchestral students the opportunity to collaborate with nationally touring bands. Sam recently played at the Sea Change Yogathon fundraiser in March.
