Patricia Chandler A Solo Exhibit of Paintings

Join us Tuesday, July 2 for the opening of a solo exhibition of paintings by noted artist and educator Patricia Chandler, with a meet the artist reception to follow on the 13th. Born and raised in Maine, Pat’s career as a commercial and fine artist, spans five decades. She earned a BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, Rhode Island and a MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. After several years working in the commercial field creating illustrations, Pat moved to Minnesota, where she renewed her interest in printmaking, moving back to Maine in 1971, later becoming an Adjunct Professor of Painting and Drawing at the University of Maine from 2005 to 2014. Pat moved to Portland, Maine around five years ago. Her portfolio of original paintings includes works across all genres, in a range of styles from contemporary to traditional realism, created with a variety of mediums. You’re invited to meet Pat Chandler at Richard Boyd Art Gallery Saturday, July 13 between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. when she will be available to discuss her work and career as a fine and commercial artist spanning five decades.
